To tell a story, you have to hear one first. For the next two days, I’m sitting across the men of Teen Challenge Chicago, hearing their stories of how God is setting them free of addiction. While I’ve never done the sort of things they have, I see my own brokenness in their eyes as they speak. We have all been overcome by the same evil. It just goes by different names, but the despair is the same. But I’m thankful for a God who’s in the restoration business. Also, I’m thankful for Teen Challenge for being a tool in God’s hands as he repairs broken lives. And I’m thankful for Chicago and it’s beautiful landscape.
