About two months ago, I achieved my goal of becoming a full-time storyteller. It was like my entire life up to that point was building up to this moment. However, it was only the beginning.
What I love about this season is I’m doing things that have never been done before. Team Illinois & Illinois Teen Challenge have never had a dedicated storyteller so I’m breaking new ground as far as what kind of content we produce.
On the other hand, I’m doing things I’ve never done before like paying bills and doing every household chore on my own.
While all this is going on I’m trying to produce freelance films, write my first book, and be there for the people in my life.
Believe it or not, there’s more I’m wanting to do that I’m not doing. My daily routine is still a work in progress. As far as my other big goals, I’ll get to them eventually. Thankfully, I have my whole life ahead of me. So I’m just writing every idea down and “mono-tasking” until I get to them.
The only negative I can even come up with is that between living on my own and the nature of my work, it can get a bit lonely. But what makes it worthwhile is knowing that what I do has eternal significance. Plus, I genuinely enjoy what I get to do for a life.
All this to say: you’re going to want to keep up with the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God & Adult and Teen Challenge Illinois. I love what I’ve been able to create for them so far and we’re only going bigger from here.
And just follow me on FB, IG, and Twitter to keep up with all the other stories I’m writing, videoing, and living.
