2011 ➡️ 2019
.
In that time, I’ve been IN college for 4 years and OUT of college for 4 years.
.
Seeing all these back-to-school/college move-in pictures has me in a nostalgic mood.
.
Me in 2011 was excited to start a new chapter, but scared of the future.
.
When this kid got dropped off at his dorm day one, he sat alone in his insecurity and lack-of-direction thinking “Well. Now what?”
.
But by the grace of God he found community, purpose, the presence of Jesus, and a greater story to step into.
.
Whether you’re in high school or college, remember this truth: These four years are MORE than a waiting period.
.
You’re not just training for something you’re going to do later.
.
In reality, you train by DOING.
.
God has you at that school, in that city, around those people for a reason.
.
Making a difference is as easy as making a friend.
.
Love and serve the community you find yourself.
.
And treat everyday as another opportunity to change the world for the better.
.
Every experience in and outside the classroom are all apart of the education you are there to earn in the first place.
.
Take advantage of every open door and climb in through a few windows if you have to.
.
Tell a beautiful story during these next four years and make it a habit that continues well into the chapters yet to come.
