We all have moments in our lives that change us forever.
October 6th, 2015 was one of those for me.
It all started with a late-night phone call from my Mom, letting me know Dad had died.
As the news spread, I found myself surrounded by friends who stayed with me as I cried in the parking lot of Evangel University.
The night ended with a pizza party, where we told funny stories and collectively chose joy in the face of this world’s evil.
For four years now, a single day has yet to go by where it doesn’t hurt, even if it’s just a little.
And I’ve used this pain to both hurt and heal, but I’m learning to do more of the latter.
If we’ve ever connected through laughter and love, then God has used you in the my healing process.
So thank you for being apart of my life.
Let’s continue to be light in this dark world, even when it’s hard.
Because what’s in us is stronger than what surrounds us.
